In November 2015, C919 with China's independent intellectual property rights was officially unveiled worldwide in Shanghai. Cao Chunxiao was thrilled at the scene and his dream of more than forty years came true at last.
5. maja 2017 je letalo C919 opravilo svoj prvi uspešen let v Šanghaju. Marca 2021 je C919 prevzel prvo naročilo. Do začetka leta 2022 je C919 prejel 815 naročil.
